Baseball has Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle, and Mays. Hockey has Gretzy. Basketball can look with justifiable pride to Mr. Michael Jordan.
But in the world of Hoochie-dom, a special place in our own Hall of Fame must be forever reserved for Ms. Anna Maria Sanchez AKA Vanessa Del Rio.

Born in the Bronx some fifty-plus years ago, Ms. Del Rio electrified audiences in smutty cinemas in the 70’s with her take-charge, lusty performances. And when, just a few years later, the VCR brought erotica to the home, she took up a place of honor in media cabinets and home entertainment centers around the world, even if her films were kept carefully wrapped inside of newspapers, magazines, or the jackets of other, more respectable VHS tapes.
Vanessa retired from “sinful cinema” in the early 1980’s, and the industry has never fully replaced her if you ask us… And frankly, the photo above DOES show Vanessa’s still-smoldering sexyness–sensually charged, dangerous and erotic well into her MILF-era 40’s (and somehow still X-rated even though she’s dressed). But this wouldn’t be a tribute to Vanessa if we didn’t include the shot below.

Now THIS is how we will always remember Vanessa Del Rio in her prime.
